Terms of sale
1. Who we are
Sottocolle — Via Giacomo Puccini 1940, 55016 Porcari (LU), Italia — P.IVA 02578070464, email info@winecide.com. Licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
2. Adults only
We sell exclusively to customers aged 18 or over. By ordering you confirm you are of legal drinking age.
3. How the drop works
Each drop has a declared run and a deadline shown on the site. Payment is taken at the time of order. The consolidated load ships when the run sells out or at the deadline, whichever comes first. The delivery window is stated on the product page and in the cart.
4. Prices
All prices include VAT (22%). Shipping costs, if any, are shown at checkout. "Shop price" comparisons shown on the site are indicative references based on average retail prices.
5. The mystery pact
Drops are blind boxes: producers and labels are sealed until delivery, and the selection is entirely at our discretion. By ordering you knowingly accept this. No returns or refunds are granted because a wine is not to your taste — that is the game, and the price reflects it. Bottles pictured on the site are for display only and are never the bottles you will receive.
6. Substitutions
If a bottle becomes unavailable, the customer may choose an equivalent bottle (proposed by us, approved by the customer) or a refund of that line. See the Substitutions & breakage page.
7. Breakage
Transport is insured. If the box arrives damaged or wet, photograph everything as you open it — the parcel as received, the opening, and the broken bottle with its label in view — and send it within 7 days of delivery: the refund is immediate, nothing to send back. Photos are your evidence; no evidence, no case.
8. Right of withdrawal
As required by EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU, D.Lgs. 21/2014), consumers may withdraw within 14 days of delivery — only for the complete, unopened box in its original packaging, with return shipping at the customer's expense. Withdrawal does not apply to individual bottles and never on grounds of taste or of the revealed labels. Any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the box may be deducted from the refund (art. 57, D.Lgs. 21/2014). Withdrawal does not apply to business purchases (orders invoiced to a VAT number).
9. Governing law and disputes
Italian law. For consumers, the mandatory forums under the Italian Consumer Code apply; otherwise the exclusive forum is Lucca, Italy.
